How To Make FIG CLAFLOUTIS (Oven Pancake) - Day 16,790

Fig Clafloutis (Oven Pancake)

6 Eggs
1 Cup Flour
2 Teaspoons Vanilla
1 Cup Sugar, white
4 Tablespoons Butter, melted
1 Pound Figs, stemmed and halved
2 Cups Milk, room temperature if possible

Preheat oven to 325°F.  Grease or spray and 9”x3” round baking dish or similar volume.  Crack and beat eggs with sugar and vanilla until sugar is dissolved. While beating, add melted butter, the mix in flour well.  Pour through a sieve into the baking dish.  Bake for about 1 hour or until the mixture is no longer liquid in the middle.  Allow to cool for 20-30 minutes, then serve.  Great with whipped cream. For smaller batch, just halve the ingredients and watch your cooking time.
